When you think of social media marketing, the first network to pop into your head is in all likelihood NOT Quora. It doesn’t have the audience size of Facebook or the rapid response of Twitter, but second to organic search traffic, Quora’s questions and answers provide arguably the second highest lead quality compared to other traffic sources.
For those who don’t know, Quora is a question-and-answer website where questions are asked, answered, edited and organized by its community of users.
Here, users go to propose very targeted, very specific answers, that they likely are having issues discovering the solution for by simply googling it.
The opportunity to directly solve a person’s problem, especially if it is hyper focused on a specific sales or business goal you are looking to achieve, your likelihood for conversion is much more targeted than traditional social media. Also, you have complete control over the way you respond, what resources you provide, and if you’re watching carefully enough, can even tag that user’s traffic behavior via Google Analyitcs or Mixpanel.
So, if you’re not on Quora, and are in search of a higher quality lead for you social media marketer/community manager, it’s time to implement a question-and-answer strategy into your overall marketing scheme.
